My name is David Guttenberg and I’m proud to be running to represent you on the Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly.
Election day is Tuesday, October 8, and I need your support to make Fairbanks the kind of community we all want to live in.

I’ve lived in Fairbanks for 50 years, retired from Laborers’ Union 942, and now, after 16 years in the Alaska State House of Representatives, I have decided to continue fighting for Fairbanks, for our families, our jobs, and our neighborhood values.
I’ve learned a lot, and together we’ve accomplished a lot, but there is still work to do, and this year the stakes on the Assembly are too high to sit on the sidelines.

As a Legislator, I recognized that access to broadband was a key issue for our families and businesses. And now, during the past year, as the pandemic closed schools and kept many of us inside, we’ve come to rely more than ever on access to the internet. On the Assembly, I’ll keep working for high-speed, affordable, reliable internet for all of Fairbanks.
I introduced legislation to lower prescription drug prices, and to establish a veterans’ cemetery in Fairbanks, so those who served our country can rest here, near their homes and family members.
With Governor Bill Walker at the dedication of Interior Alaska’s only veteran’s cemetery.
Families in every neighborhood, from Salcha and North Pole to Farmers Loop and Chena Ridge need a voice on the Assembly, and I’ve fought hard for issues important to us all: responsible budgeting, jobs, education, the University, and the great Interior Alaska values that keep our borough strong.
Now, let’s get to work, together, unifying and building Fairbanks so it has a bright future for decades to come.
